You can consider us, dear reader, to be the extended version of Enid Blyton's Famous Five!
Let us introduce ourselves to you. As you can make out from the name itself, we are eleven in number. There is Angelica, a very bubbly person who always resolves to work hard from the next day and always forgets her resolution for sure; Baishalee, the most brilliant girl who can solve every mathematical problem and is also a crazy fan of cricket; Doyel, who has dollops of maturity in her head and thinks clearly before doing any work; Moriam, whose romantic essence is (Ahem!) as high as her poetic language; Neetu, who is as adorable as a soft toy; Neha, an intelligently hungry scholar; Neharika, a clever student and the most (ir)responsible captain the school has ever had; Paroma, a living dictionary who crosses every limit of impatience; Parvina, on whom you cant decide whether she is a professional comedian or a comically professed student;Prachi, who is a perfect clown in the making; and last but by no means the leastAlisha, who is the most talented and craziest of the lot!
Well you might be wondering dear reader why on earth would you want to know about a bunch of students from class X. All we can say is that to satisfy your curiosity, PLEASE READ ON. Who knows you may even come across certain facts about our school and the different classes which are otherwise a Hush-Hush matter in our institution. (Psst: Do you know who the source of information for us is? Keep guessing!!)
Come Monday morning, we have got our lunch boxes safely tucked in our bags, but half the books forgotten at home! When asked by teachers, our reply is that our school bag is very heavy so we take turns to bring different books! The scene of arrival in school is like the scene at the Howrah Station platform. Ah! and the delicious topics of discussions amongst ourselves sounds as if it has been imported from "the grooves of spices and the fields of rice"! And then, oh no! the departure after the assembly to our respective classes is like...., is like..., is like the end of the Lahore-Delhi bus service!
While classes are on full swing, our stomach begins to rumble from the short recess itself. So as soon as lunch break arrives, we have a real feast everyday at gobbling up ours as well as our friends' tiffins! When asked whether it is not monotonous for us to "enjoy" our lunch break, we reply in the negative saying that the lunch break is a real picnic for us (as long as everyone brings different tiffins. TEE HEE!) We laugh away the lunch break by playing pranks on others or mimicking. Yes, this is indeed one art in which no living soul can excel us. We pride ourselves in holding the degree of OPIMBOLS (Outstanding performances in Mimickry by Otherwise Lazy Students!!).
Studies do play a pivotal role in our lives but we tend to forget that momentarily. But we know that the teachers have put a lot of trust on us and they believe that we can do it. We too will not allow anyone to contradict this belief of theirs. So we are really working hard to put back our pranks so that we can come out with flying colours at the end of the day.
We have come to the fag end of our school days at St. Mary's. After the SSLC exams, we will move out to different parts of the world and will be busy making a niche for ourselves in the society. through all these, we will always remember the esteemed principles which have been taught to us in our school. We will also remember the little pranks which we have played in our school on our friends and sometimes even on teachers! We will also keep in mind that every one considers us to be weird bunch of students because we always seem to laugh, come rain or sun! It is these very mysterious and naughty incidents of ours that will never let the teachers forget us, nor each other.
This is all about the Notorious Eleven. Sorry! I meant the famous Eleven!
